Who We Are

Our Identities

We pursue this mission through lives shaped by Jesus Christ and the new identities He gives us. We belong to Christ because of what Christ has done for us so that we can live for Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17

The way we live is shaped by who we believe ourselves to be. Proclaiming Christ continually points us toward the correct goal and reminds us of our new identities. Making disciples is helping people know and grow into our new identities.

  • Worshipers - We believe God desires to be worshiped, and we believe man was made to worship God. We worship God because God has made us into worshipers and to grow into greater worshipers. John 4:20-24; Romans 12:1

  • Disciples - Those who follow Jesus are disciples. We believe God desires that disciples embrace Christ, follow Him and help others follow Him. Matthew 28:18-20; John 10:22-29

  • Family - Those who follow Jesus belong to His family. We share Christian community because God made us His family. So we live as God's family. John 1:11-13; Romans 8:14-17

  • Missionaries - Those who follow Jesus represent Jesus in word and deed. We take the gospel to the world because God has made us into His missionaries. 2 Corinthians 5:21; John 20:21; 1 Peter 2:9

Our Setting

Church is not a place we go but a people committed to God and to one another. Our mission and our identities go with us everywhere and always. When gathered and scattered, we belong to Jesus and to one another. Our mission is always before us.

Redeemer Gathered

Gatherings:
Worship Gathering - We gather every Sunday to hear and celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ through prayers, singing, confessions, Scripture reading, preaching, celebrating the Lord’s supper, and baptism.
Prayer Gathering - We meet 4 times per year to pray for God’s work in our lives and in our church.
Covenant Gathering - We meet 4 times per year to build our covenant community by meeting new members, praying, and discussing the direction and business of Redeemer.

Discipleship Studies:
Sunday Studies - Adult studies occurring during each Worship Gathering provide opportunities to study the Bible together and discuss how it shapes our lives.
Men’s Studies - Men meeting to study the faith and pray throughout the week and month.
Women’s Studies - Women meeting to study the faith and pray throughout the week and month.
Seasonal Studies - Periodic, short studies tailored to a particular subject. An example is our Summer Book Study.

Redeemer Scattered

Community Groups - The purpose of Community Groups at Redeemer is to create intentional gatherings where people find discipleship, connection, and care. Specifically, groups aim to connect deeply enough to care and therein foster an environment where engaging the Word and prayer will result in discipleship and accountability.
Personal and Family Life - We are called to pursue discipleship and mission in our homes and personal living. We take this calling seriously.
